Late Night Adventures

Sometimes for no reason at all, the mood strikes to make a random run through LSU at night.

The quiet reminds me of the beauty that LSU holds beneath the academia and constant motion.

The enchanting forest can enchant the willing.

I do my best to choose a path of adventure, or to step back and capture the moment in a frame.

Christmas Tidings

Christmas comes and goes.
I am grateful for the happiness that the holidays bring.

I think the warmth returns to us in each moment of sunshine.

And the memories are captured in photos

Of my Ugly Betty impersonations.

You're welcome.

Christmas Thoughts

Home for Christmas

With the dancing ladies.

After long work, we come to appreciate the antiques

And the flashing lights.

Now off I go to eat and be merry.

Living

There are many connections to be made these days.

Still, most have always been there. Life can only wait for us to make it happen.

I choose to live in awe of the many wonders.

Festive Foods

Drew's homemade bread paired well with Julie's quick broccoli soup.

Everything but the kitchen sink dipped in chocolate.

And a new face for the holidays.

I love my friends.

Happy holidays.

Kate & Drew Adventures # 1

Friday there was another New Orleans adventure.

The reflections of a rainy night in uptown New Orleans are a classic sight.

Yum.

Quiet

I am trying to be quieter. I like to be attentive.

I hope to speak less and say more.

Sarah & Amber adventures #1

Monday brought lots of adventure and sunshine despite hues of grey and rain.

Sometimes we create brilliance of our own. Personally, I like to sit back, let the situation unfold, and enjoy the ride.

Lola's is a small Spanish restaurant by City Park in New Orleans. The garlic mushrooms - crimini mushrooms were cooked with garlic, basil and a few hot chiles. Peppers are always a great extra experience for those who go for it. It's a shared experience all around to try to explain personal reaction to the heat from the peppers.

A bottle of sangria truly convinces me that wine was meant to be consumed this way. Ya know, I think home sangria with lots of apples and no ends on the oranges will need to happen soon.
We had a chicken, pork and sausage paella as well as an eclectic, traditional seafood paella. The two had highlights and brought to mind the great paella of Spain. It has been too long.

Oh colorful art. I figure if I capture the images of the things I would enjoy in my life, I will move toward actualizing these things. The fact of the matter is: love me some Vespas.

A meandering walking tour led to some unique views of the lives led in New Orleans. I feel connected to this living.

The end and beginning of the adventure met at Sarah and Amber's, a beautiful place.

Always a good message to leave with.

Reflecting the Frost

There are some sights that are peculiar for an early December southeast Louisiana night.

A Hotty Totty for warmth was a request I had never made. However, I discovered that there is a warmth to the beverage that is great. The good help at Chelsea's Cafe can remedy the cold with a Hotty Totty and the focaccia grilled cheese and side of tomato basil soup.

Apparently, a night that you're waiting for snow takes you on adventures and culinary twists.

It wasn't much, but even only a few snow flakes are extraordinary for so early in December, or even at all in Louisiana. Every step was a sight.

And every window and every ride.

Holidaze

Saints game home pizza and beer.

Such a good, festive choice. My first holiday beer that I am a fan of!
It has been a pleasant day off.

I always have fun adventuring about finding the beautiful sights to be seen.

It's a joy to enjoy the sights of your own home.

Life is a joy.

Fotos de mí vida

Some days life lends me time to just reflect on all the many sights that are seen.

A moment can feel like a still frame from an independet film.

Fences can hold up the most amazing trees.

Art comes alive.

White Light Night was a fantastic adventure. It's nice to enjoy every moment's journey.

Merchandise Paradise

As visual manager, I enjoy the times of repositioning and placing things in a new visually captivating way. Sure, the company places certain restraint over the creative freedom, but perfect placement certainly gives off the synergy of those involved.

There are certain details to be discovered if we look at things a bit differently. Such as statue reflections and metal gates.

I like to appreciate the task at hand and appreciate the view.

The Harvest

At times I feel that I live in a magical wonderland of cuisine delight. There are always adventurous meals to be had and to create.

Julie's sweet potato and blue cheese soup was incredible. The leeks were fantastic! Not to mention the Whole Foods focaccia that it was paired with.

This leads me to find the beauty in every moment of any meal, even in my water bottle.

Or perhaps a blossom at the bottom of Rebecca's cup.

The meals that are shared don't need to have names or be necessarily authentic. Sometimes to best meal is pulled together by the mere existence of all ingredients at the same time. A sprig of basil will do on just about any dish to let the sun shine.
Considering the time of year and my love for food I've put thought towards how it is that my body best benefits from the food adventures that I enjoy. In light of harvest, I find it necessary to gently remind any foreign travelers that my body is not a home. I feel that I am ushering in a season of concentration and focus that will be enriched by listening to my body.
From a more broad perspective, this all is preparation for the spring and the dynamic needs that the seasons bring.
I honor the Earth and my Kosmic Karma.
