Sunshine Before Work

For many, the day seems to be a constant continuance of movement, many places, many errands, or many needs.

Sometimes it is a joy to take in some sunshine before work. Not moving, just a smile.

Eat Fresh. Eat Local.

Today the local produce market that I shop at was so stocked!

I left with 40 dollars worth, basically the entire store.

Oh Jicama, oh garlic, oh kiwis!

A great morning.

Sketches and Sights

Many things that are seen can be treasured.

A simply gorgeous piece of art.

A sketch that I now wear.

Zen likes to look too.

Sometimes we stroll by such beautiful things.

Friday's Whirlwind

My Friday busily penciled itself in.

I found myself amongst good friends and I brought along some good tea as well.

I remind myself daily not to take the tea in my life for granted. I take moments to take a closer look at it.

Francis the cat spontaneously took a moment to take a very close look at my camera.

I am still slightly unsure of how all of the events of my day led me to and from my adventures, but amongst good friends and nice company, I took a picture.

Napping with William

My day started out with endurance tests with Laura. I came home and went straight for a nap.

It became a nap with a cat.

I've come to the conclusion that cats are either constantly in motion or constantly napping in solitude. Either way, it's rare to have a nap with my cat.

He expressed comfort in which ever way he threw himself.

Still, though he was resting, there seemed to be moments of distracted thoughts. I made a connection in the way that thoughts of motion can distact me when I am being still.

I am curious about cat thoughts.

Clearly, that nap was a highlight of my day.

William is quite the majestic fellow, today I observed him with gratitude.

"The Guest House"

The dark thought, the shame, the malice
Meet them at the door laughing and invite them in
Be grateful for whoever comes
Because each has been sent as a guide from beyond.

Rumi poem

Winter Time

Winter days.

Winter nights.

Winter soups.

Winter teas.

Going with the seasons allows me to see how plentiful our winter had been.

It is best to share.

Moments of Lazy

This cute cuddler chose my lap for her nap. She reminded me that amidst the motions that life sweeps us up in, there's always times to slow down and cuddle.

Pretty wise for a kitten.

Dominoes View

I realized my dormant skills of making sneaky snakes.

There was many a time that childhood left me by myself with sets of dominoes. Still, I couldn't for the life of me remember how to play any particular game. Well dominoes are back...in black...as in the dots. Heh

We clearly decided to class things up.

As always, amidst the nonchalant moments of relaxation, I was charmed by one particular view of the window.
