I Feel Like Blowing it Up This Halloween

As the Queen of Babylon I stand for the day.

Amongst the white tea with pineapple, apple bits, carrots, pomegranate and such -- was this inspiration.
Today on Halloween was the best treat.

A most spectacular Rebirth Brass Band show with a pretty small crowd of fellow ameobas.
Ameobas on and treats to all.

Clock Out - Tune In

I am sitting down and enjoying lunch along with a side of good feels of a good night.
Some things tend to shine on past their occurrence.

It's funny how I can be at one place that feels like so many places all at once. There were many great conversations and and each was another experienced place along with the several atmospheric changes of Chelsea's.

We were taken on a gripping interactive digital journey of Nintendo sounds and fluid dance by a band named Reception is Suspected. I suspect that this band could be huge, because of this, I think they are as 'huge' as they choose to be. It was quite an auditory treat.

The treasures found under the interstate are priceless.

Signs of Growth

The days have been shining their love into my life.

Friday was the Baton Rouge Green Crawl. Unofficial first stop -- the pier.

With stops along the way filled with encouragement, education, free food and beer, it was quite the energizing bike ride.

There was a realization of the awareness that there is to grow right here before our eyes.
We talked of architecture, economics, positive growth, and the reality that we choose. There was phenomena to be felt during the ride - it went by as though I was pedaling with my mind. There was no tough physical moment.

We wrote our own route like we write our lives in shadows on the walls. We started at Brightside to River road, to downtown, to Laurel hitting the first stop. From architecture we crossed a few blocks to talk to BRASS (I graciously joined) at the second stop. We then went from Laurel to Main, to 19th, to Government, to our third stop at Mid City Bikes. We talked small business and future endeavors of entrepreneurial vigor. From there we cruised to Time Warp and Honeymoon Bungalow. With enough stamps on our route passports we crossed the street and cut our own path (opting out of the last stop) down Acadian which was awesome! Two people, in the road at night, and no sweat down Perkins to the end location of Chelsea's for plates of free food and free Abita Amber. First, we hit up the spot under the bridge to let the road express our energy all around us.

We realized then that we could ride all night. Something about the night was reviving.

After the festivities we biked through the neighborhoods around the lakes, through campus, down Nicholson to home ad we watched heat lightening usher in a cool front. We sat at home and reflected on the great night as an amazing downpour brought in cool weather. With the seasons comes our modern day day renaissance. I am grateful.

Storyville

This reminds me of Chelsea. We are sure that she can make it rain.

We certainly all control our own weather.

Lessons from Brewing Tea

I like to steep my days. Savor, graciously take the benefits and discard for my next brew.

If you take a moment to look, light hits life from all of the right angles.

And when you swirl it around, life makes a beautiful tornado.
No worries, a new brew tomorrow.

I Am Grateful

Today has been pleasantly glorious. A good work out should always be followed by good friends and good sushi. I like to take a good look at each bite of the paradise roll.

Each moment of our sushi lunch was fantastic.

The joys of a seaweed salad are impossible to capture with words. Let's try sounds: yummmm-meee-cymbols-hand drums-hi hat
Oh yes, something like that.

Today in the mail I recieved the I Am Grateful cookbook from the Café Gratitude. I look forward to the meals and culinary enlightenment ahead. I indeed am grateful.

It Was a Saturday

My life is pleasantly dotted with new old leaves. It seems that each one can feel like a surprise. It is in the way of leaves that time beautifully falls all around us.

I find that the details in planning on a personal level seem to be taking on an entirely new shape. All things are always relevant yet the specifics are unnecessary. Sometimes we miss planned features and gravitate towards fountains. Where I think I'm headed is not necessarily as important as the intention and open expectations needed for being present as each moment rises anew. Glimmering night lights glow beautifully on the waters--no intentions, simple beauty.
